For incoming freshmen, send us your high school transcripts. If your GPA is below a 2.75, we may also ask for ACT or SAT scores.

For transfer students, we'll need a copy of your transcripts from each higher ed institution attended.

For incoming freshmen, a 2.75 GPA qualifies you for automatic admission (below a 2.75, and we'll likely ask for ACT or SAT scores). For transfer students, a minimum 2.0 GPA on transferrable classes is required.

Highlights:

My name is Dr. David Vance, and I am the Director of Music at the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, Kansas. My aspiration is to use my experience to shape the future of music education by developing high-performance relationships where I teach and mentor college students to find their passion and succeed in life.

My specialties include instrumental music education, trombone performance, student development, building new music programs, and teaching music at all levels from Kindergarten through College. I lead with kindness and empathy, facilitating experiences through healthy relationships and guidance.

I have degrees from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, the University of Missouri 鈥� Kansas City, and Virginia Commonwealth University.

USM Facilities

The state-of-the-art Berkel Memorial Stadium complex has bleacher-style seats for 1,000 fans, two patios, goalposts, a new scoreboard, a climate controlled press box with seven rooms, and sidewalks from the parking lot to the bleacher section that are wheelchair accessible.
