(Cleveland, Ohio) 鈥� After a spectacular year, the 糖心视频 has finished
at No. 19 in the 2024-25 Learfield Directors鈥� Cup.
With 532 points, USM led the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference and other NAIA
schools in the Kansas City metro. The 2nd ranked KCAC institution finished with 441.5
points.
USM鈥檚 spring sports contributed 16.5 points, fall brought in 158.5, and the winter
teams earned an impressive 357 points. The Spires鈥� top three teams were Women鈥檚 Cross
Country (85), Competitive Cheer (80), and Men鈥檚 Cross Country (73.5).
鈥淔inishing in the top 20 of the Learfield Directors鈥� Cup is a tremendous accomplishment
for our student-athletes, coaches, and entire athletics staff,鈥� Vice President of
Athletics Rob Miller said. 鈥淚t reflects the hard work and heart our teams bring to
competition year-round. We are proud that our programs continue to represent the University
of Saint Mary on the national stage.鈥�
The Learfield Directors鈥� Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National
Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics and USA Today. Points are awarded
based on each institution's finish in NAIA Championships. Overall, 13 sports are counted
in the final NAIA standings, four of which must be men鈥檚 basketball, men鈥檚 soccer,
women鈥檚 basketball, and women鈥檚 volleyball. The next highest (9 max.) sports scored
for each institution, regardless of gender, are used in the standings.
