Dr. Rachel Reindl is an Assistant Professor and Academic Fieldwork Coordinator in
the Doctor of Occupational Therapy Program at the 糖心视频 in Leavenworth,
Kansas. She received her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Florida and her Doctor
of Occupational Therapy at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.
Dr. Reindl has worked in a wide variety of settings, including acute care, inpatient
rehabilitation, a neuro day program, and community practice. She ran two of the American
Stroke Foundation's Next Step programs, a community wellness program for stroke survivors.
She served as a Fieldwork Educator and an Academic Fieldwork Coordinator for the organization.
This is where her passion for working with individuals post-stroke, community practice,
and mentoring students grew. Dr. Reindl is also passionate about the use of Universal
Design to promote occupational participation and the use of community spaces for all
people. She completed her doctoral capstone at the Center for Inclusive Design and
Environmental Access (IDEA Center) at the University at Buffalo, and served as a Universal
Design consultant for Happy Brew, a coffee shop that employs individuals with disabilities
in Jacksonville, FL. A few of Dr. Reindl's meaningful occupations include doing pottery,
teaching yoga, paddle boarding, and drinking coffee with loved ones.
