USM's Community Immunity Challenge

Get Vaccinated. Earn $1,000.

There are a lot of benefits to getting vaccinated: Better health and safety for the community. Vaccinated students will not need to go into quarantine if they're merely exposed to someone with the Coronavirus.

And now, thanks to a generous donor, USM is able to offer $1,000 scholarships to five randomly selected main campus undergraduates. (These scholarships are one-time only, non-renewable.)

We'll hold drawings through July and August. The first drawing will be July 15. Entering the drawing is easy: Just submit your proof of vaccine card ASAP. If you've already submitted your card, you've already entered!

A safer campus with Community Immunity

This fall, the ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ has set an important goal to help ensure campus community health and safety — and minimize disruptions to the our students' learning and living experience.

That goal — Community Immunity: a 75 percent vaccination rate for our campus community.

In order to complete that goal, USM is urging all students to get vaccinated before returning to campus in August.

Until we achieve that goal, USM will maintain mitigation protocols designed to minimize the risk of continued COVID spread. We're getting closer â€” and moving in the right direction.

Do your part to help USM reach Community Immunity.
